Elizabeth Henderson Majors
February 18, 1886-October 16, 1971

Mary Elizabeth Henderson was born in Ocilla, Georgia, but moved to Moultrie, Georgia, when she was two. She was the daughter of G. G. Henderson and Martha Vickers Henderson, and the granddaughter of Daniel Henderson.

She was a member of the first graduating class at Moultrie High School in 1903 and later attended the State Normal School in Athens. She was active in the First Presbyterian Church for many years and played key roles in the activities of the Worthwhile Club, Daughters of the American Revolution, and the United Daughters of the Confederacy. She was a long time member of the Colquitt County Welfare Board.
